Each of our six beautifully appointed pods combines the charm of the outdoors with the conveniences of home. Inside, you’ll find your own private shower and toilet, a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and two-burner hob, a comfortable double bed, sofa, dining table and chairs, and heating for year-round stays. Step outside onto your private decking area, perfect for morning coffee or evenings by the lake. Guests are welcome to bring folding chairs or blankets to make the most of the outdoor space.

For those travelling with four-legged companions, two pods are pet-friendly and feature a gated veranda, while the remaining four pods are kept pet-free for guests who prefer it.

Glamping offers the best of both worlds — the chance to immerse yourself in nature without sacrificing comfort. No tents, no hassle, just a relaxed and stylish stay by the water. It’s an ideal choice for couples seeking peace and privacy, and anglers looking for a comfortable base steps away from the lake.

Book your lakeside glamping escape today and enjoy rest, romance, and recreation in equal measure.

What Is Glamping?

Glamping: A Luxurious Approach to the Great Outdoors

For those who love nature but don’t want to sacrifice comfort, glamping is the perfect solution! This outdoor experience offers plush accommodations, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature without compromising on luxury.

Compared to traditional camping, glamping offers guests a more lavish alternative. Rather than dealing with insect bites and the challenges of tent life, visitors can revel in the stunning scenery while enjoying top-notch amenities. It’s the best way to enjoy a rustic getaway while still having all the comforts of home.

The difference between Glamping & Camping

Put simply, glamping is a way of getting closer to nature and enjoying the great outdoors while still enjoying the luxuries of home. This makes it sound like a perfect combination- what are some major differences between camping and glamping?

Glamping accommodation

Travelling to camp can be an arduous experience as you have to bring all your gear and set it up. Glamping, on the other hand, means arriving at a framed shelter with amenities such as running water and electricity.

Sleeping

Campers often sleep in an uncomfortable sleeping bag, on a thin roll matt or air bed. Glampers sleep inside of ready made tents or pods and can enjoy a traditional bed with real mattresses and linen sheets.

Bathrooms & Toilet

One of the challenges of camping in open places is finding a bathroom to use. There might not be one around that is easy for you or your family to access. Some campsites provide facilities with water and showers, while other sites make do with an outdoor toilet and shared shower station. With glamping you have your very own toilet facilities and in some cases your own shower.

Here at Janson’s our pods come complete with an en-suite toilet/shower room for your comfort.

Heating

To stay warm while camping, layering is key. You can control your sleep temperature by opening and closing the tent flap or changing the thickness of your sleeping bag. Meanwhile, most glamping accommodation includes some form of heat; whether that is a wood burning stove or electric radiator so you always have a place to go when you finish spending time outside for the day.

Glamping for Couples

Perhaps you’re after romance without the kids? Enjoy easy-going walks and relax to the sounds of nature around you. Sit out under the stars with a crackle fire and return to reality feeling completely refreshed.

Here at Janson’s we offer glamping along with the added bonus of being able to fish at our fishery, aimed at not only anglers wishing to spend a couple of days away fishing but couples looking for that relaxing break.
